From Conan the Cimmerian #5, written by Timothy Truman, artistic credit shared by Tomas Giorello and Richard Corben, colored by Jose Villarrubia, and carrying a November 2008 publication date from Dark Horse Comics, my entry to tonight’s fight is Caollan, Conan’s clanswoman, using her short swords to deadly effect in close quarters combat. With a CHOKK and a SLTTCH she cuts down two attacking warriors.

Speaking of gut slicing, have you seen Tropic Thunder yet, Roscoe? It’s a very fun movie with some serious gut mangling.

I did watch one of the goriest movies last night I’ve ever seen: The Dead Next Door. It was mostly zombie themed, though there was some religious cultism and para-military action sort of thrown into the mix. The movie was absolutely horrible, but it was so bad it was funny. And the gore was… everywhere and all the time.

Posted 29 Nov 2008 at 19:11 ¶I’ll also recommend Quarantine. I don’t know if it’s on DVD yet, but Esther and I saw it in the theater and it was absolutely awesome. It was one of the best zombie movies I’ve ever seen. Lots of gore–and the attacks were so freaking violent. One of the last surviving fireman became so efficient at killing the zombies–sometimes with his bare hands. It was great.
