The US Army Chorus sings “Battle Hymn of the Republic”

What an excellent performance!

This, of course, is the US Army Chorus and Band on the White House Lawn last week during the welcoming ceremony held by President Bush for Pope Benedict XVI. Rush Limbaugh played it a number of times on his show in the later part of the week.

I spent some time looking for a good video clip of this but was unable to find one until Sunday, when I found it posted on Michelle Malkin’s blog.

Though Michelle offers it as a Sunday Meditation, for which it’s quite appropriate, it’s also something nice to start the work week with, wouldn’t you say? Inspiring, motivational.

Extraordinary presentation on an extraordinary occasion. My heart is full of gratitude to the Army Chorus for its magnificent performance of so inspiring a hymn to God and country. I was never more proud of my American heritage for truly, there are still many in our country who remember the truth of who we are, “…one nation, under God, with liberty and justice for all.”
As an American Catholic, my heartfelt gratitude to the Army Chorus and our President.
